If you have hung around us for any amount of time you’ll discover that as a family we love going to the sand dunes. Each February we head to the Imperial Sand Dunes which are located in eastern California on the Arizona, Mexican boarder. The trip is always a big production but by the end of the week we find ourselves wishing for one day more. Here are some of the reasons I love going to the dunes…

• It is the only time we eat breakfast, lunch and dinner as a family.
• The kids love it.
• I can play checkers with my 6 year old guilt free.
• No computers, internet or cell phones!
• Snuggle time by the campfire.
• Having a RV with all of the accommodations of home: hot water, microwave, cable, fridge, toilet (you get the idea).
• Watching the kids play and get as dirty as they want.
• Reading books with my toes in the sand on my camp recliner.
• Hosing down my dirt monkeys.
• Snack food!
• Going ridding.
• Smores
• The ‘Go Fish’ victory dance!
• Movies on a raining day.
• Ben’s smile when he drives the rail!
• Making memories with my hubby and kids.


And my list can go on and on. Some families go to Disneyland, we go to the dunes. Whatever you choose to do as a family have fun making memories, I know we do!
