Happy Birthday Drew!

While we were in California Drew turned six. Since blogging is my form of journal writing I want to share some random thoughts about Drew.

Drew is a very practical boy. He is always asking questions and analyzing answers. If the response does not make sense to him he keeps asking them. This can go on for hours. Here are some of his recent questions…

Why is the earth made of minerals?
Could I stand on a cloud?
Where do babies come from?
How come some people smoke and others don’t?
Is soda healthy?
Why do some people like Utah and others like BYU?
How does a transmission work?
Does God love the people that don’t follow the prophet?

He is so much fun to be around. Drew always has friend at the door asking if he could play. He loves exploring, playing sports and video games. He is very smart, he is constantly reading. He reads the back of cereals boxes, shampoo bottles or any thing he can find. He is so sweet. I love it when he says, “You’re the best Mom I ever had.”

He is a hard worker. He knows that his chores have to be done before he can play. I rarely have to hound him to get them done. He recently said that he wanted a job that pays real money. So he was going to ask the neighbors if he could shovel their snow. When I asked him how much it would cost he said, “a one dollar bill with a 100 on it”.

He is a good kid and always keeps us on our toes. Here are some pics from his Birthday!
