Well Ben and I knew this was going to happen sooner or later. Mallie came today with the telephone number of a boy in her class. Here is how the conversation went…
Me: “Mallie, how was your day?”
Mallie: “It was good, look at all the papers I did.” She shows the papers to Ben and I. Ben walks outside.
Mallie: “There is something else that happened today.”
Me: “what is it?”
Mallie “C (abbreviated) gave me his number and asked if I would like to play.” She hands me a paper with seven digits written on it. The seven is backwards along with one six and both threes.
Me: “well what would you like to do?”
Mallie: “I want to play with him but I am afraid that other kids will make fun of me.”
Me: “Can I talk to daddy about it?”
Mallie: “No, he is a boy”
Me: “Well I'll talk with C’s mom to see what she thinks.” Silently hoping Mallie would forget about the whole thing.
Later on in the afternoon I talk to Ben about it. He starts laughing and says “H*** No! she is not going over to play at a boys house.”
Here is the history about this little crush. During the second week of school at the fundraiser carnival, Mallory points out this boy (out a thousand people) and states “that is C he sits at the blue table.” This little boy walks over dragging his dad with him to talk with Mallory. The two of them, then ride all of the rides together.
One month later, Mallie comes home from school and states that kids are teasing her by saying “C is in love with Mallie!” She and I make up a response for the next time it happens. The following day Mallory puts the teasers in their place.
One week later during UEA. Ben, Mallie & Drew go to Drew’s basketball game. C comes up to Ben, who is 6 ft 8 in, and tells Ben that he thinks Mallory is beautiful. But not to worry he is going on a mission then he and Mallory will go to the temple. Mallory turned bright red and avoided the subject for days.
Now C gave Mallie his phone number. I am not sure how to handle this. Do I keep avoiding the subject, or do I address the issue? I not sure there is even an issue. I NEED HELP! What should I do?

I wish I could help but I am not there yet. Make sure you let me know what you do and what happens. That way I am prepared for when it happens to us. Good luck!
Too funny! Miss Mallie is quiet the beauty. Good luck... I don't have a girl, so all I can do is teach Dax to respect the ladies.
How cute!! C has some guts coming up to Ben and saying that! Sorry... I don't have any advice... but it sure is a funny story!
Good luck with that one. I don't think Stuart would ever be that bold with a girl. This boy is something else. Have fun remember they are only 6 and can't get to far with out you control her every move.
