Christmas 2009!

Christmas this year was one of the bests! Here are some thoughts of why I love Christmas…

• It is the only day of the year that you can stay in your PJ’s all day and get away with it.
• Reading Luke 2
• Singing as loud as I can to all the great Christmas songs.
• I love the way the kid’s faces light up when they open presents.
• It is the only day you can play video games, barbies and legos guilt free.
• We eat Christmas dinner off of my fine china, sliver and crystal in our PJ’s.
• I love watching the kids act out the Nativity
• All the good food
• Playing Santa
• The spirit of giving
• Secret Santa packages
• Gingerbread

And much more!

This year Mallory received a pink camera from Santa. An American Girl doll from Nana and a wiggle cart and barbies from Grammie. She is in heaven running around taking pictures.

Andrew received a BB gun from Santa. A Lego table from Nana, a wiggle cart and RC helicopter from Grammie. So far he has not shot his eye or anything else with the gun. Target practice in the basement is supervised at all times.

Porter received a ball pit from Santa, a Lego table and blocks from Nana. Grammie gave him a wiggle cart and a skid steer. He loved opening presents, but did not see eye to eye with all the tape on the packages.

All of us this year received marshmallow guns. We had a blast shooting each other, except dad. He broke his and became the lone target. Porter was on clean up crew and went around eating the ammo.

This year we as a family have been so blessed. We have seen Heavenly Fathers love for us through the miracle of Porter’s recovery. Through the love of family and neighbors and through all of our answered prayers, we are so blessed to have all of you in our life. Most importantly we are blessed to have a Savior that loved us enough to die for us. Merry Christmas and a happy healthy New Year!

PS I have tons of pictures of Christmas but I cannot find one of my cameras and the other one the SD card says it is not formatted. GRRR!
