Well another Labor Day spent at the dunes! We had a wonderful time despite getting lost and the snow Monday afternoon. We went to the Killpecker Dunes outside of Rock Springs, WY. These dunes are fun but are a pain the *&% to get there. Once you exit 1-80 in Rock Springs you have to take a 20 mile dirt road to the dunes. The road has no marker signs to the dunes and here are a bunch of oil rig turnoffs. So you literally have count the turnoffs from the start of the dirt road to make sure you get the right one that takes you to the dunes. Otherwise you take a 3.5 hour detour (we found that out the hard way). We had two days of fun playing in the dunes then Sunday night it started raining and did not stop till Monday afternoon when the rain turned to snow. You can imagine the fun we had getting everyone back to the highway. Out of the 6 rigs (each rig being at least 50 feet in length) only one got stuck. We were able to pull it out of the mud with a pickup truck. Anyway we had a blast! Enjoy the pictures!
