OK whoever says that being pregnant is wonderful I think must have been smoking something illegal. I am nine months pregnant and there seems to be no end in site. In the LDS hymn “We Thank Thee of God for a Prophet” the second verse has the phrase “there is hope smiling brightly before us, and we know that deliverance is nigh.” This is a song that the Primary age children are learning this year(I am currently serving as the Primary President in my Ward), and as I listen to the chorister retell a story from the Ensign a couple of months ago I could not help but be jealous of the woman in the story. Apparently in a ward in Lehi, UT the congregation was singing the above hymn. The choristers name was Hope and she just so happened to be very pregnant. When the congregation sang “there is hope smiling brightly before us, and we know that deliverance is nigh.” everyone laughed and the reverence was lost. To make a long story short the woman went into labor that week and delivered a healthy baby.
So how does this relate to me, well as I listen to the children singing the song yesterday I could not help but think about when my deliverance would come? For those that know me I am not the most patient person. The sooner the better, is my motto. The worst part of the situation is that yesterday afternoon I was laying down watching TV when a contraction hit, about 10 minutes later another one. This went on for about 4 hours. I called the hospital and they told me to take a Tylenol and come in when they are about 3 minutes apart. It is safe to assume that because I am writing this blog that I did not have the baby last night.
So this morning I woke up and cleaned my house again (the nesting instinct is really kicking in), mowed my lawn and now I am looking at my swollen feet asking myself “Maybe today?”
My big belly!

My swollen feet (Yes, that is a flip flop tan line. Those are the only shoes I can wear right now)

Hey Megs!
Good Luck with everything. I know the delivery part isn't your favorite. We just spent a week with Marin and Luke, and had a way fun time. I will be checking in to hear when the happy moment comes!
Bless your heart meg! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for things to start kicking in... or out!
Love, Em
AT LEAST YOUR TOES LOOKED GOOD!
